Bond court hearings will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, while the remaining sessions have been canceled. The opioid treatment program will be operate as normal from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.; outpatient services will be closed.

The County Council's Tuesday meeting and public hearings have been rescheduled for Thursday. The treasure / auditor office will have extended hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday due to the Tuesday closure. The lobby and sex offender registry office of the Charleston County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) will be closed on Tuesday. The lobby of the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center will remain open, with the exception of fingerprinting.
City of Charleston
All city offices will be closed. Trash pickup will be delayed by one day. All recreation activities are canceled.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A high wind warning is in place for portions of the Lowcountry on Tuesday ahead of a strong line of showers and thunderstorms that will move across the state.
The National Weather Service in Charleston said damaging winds could blow down trees and cause widespread power outages. They also note that travel will be difficult, especially for high-profile bridges.
According to Storm Team 2, sustained winds between 25-40 mph are expected late Tuesday morning through the early evening with gusts ranging between 40-50 mph out toward I-95 and inland communities, and 50-60 mph inside the Charleston metro and out toward the coast.
The National Weather Service warns that stronger winds could occur on elevated bridges like the Ravenel Bridge, the Don Holt Bridge, the James B. Edwards Bridge, the Ben Sawyer Bridge, the Isle of Palms Connector.
“Dangerous driving conditions are likely on these bridges. Heed any potential bridge closures or warnings from local officials,” said NWS forecasters.
The question for many: will they close the bridges? Charleston County has a published guide on high-wind bridge procedures they follow during wind events.
“When the EOC receives reports from law enforcement officers that sustained wind speeds have reached 30 mph, the media will be asked to put out a message to the public that high profile vehicles will be advised not to use high span (65 feet or higher) or exposed bridges, and the public should use extreme caution if they decide to travel over bridges.”

According to the county, motorists are warned that in addition to the measured sustained wind speeds, there could be unexpected and dangerous wind gusts of higher speeds.

At 25 mph, draw bridges are locked down to boat traffic. Draw bridges and swing bridges (bridges that can be mechanically opened to allow for tall boat traffic to pass through from the water) will be locked down to boat traffic when sustained winds reach 25 mph or greater.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The area’s largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration returns to North Charleston this weekend.
Wear your brightest green and head to the Park Circle community on Saturday, March 9th for the 20th annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party and Parade.
The event will feature live music, street vendors, food from area restaurants, a kid’s zone, and plenty of other family-friendly activities.
It all begins with a parade that starts on Park Place East, across from the Park Circle Community Center, at noon and proceeds down East Montague Avenue through the block party to Virginia Avenue.
The party, parade, and parking are free to the public; however, parking is limited, and people are asked to carpool or utilize a rideshare.
Road Closures
East Montague will close between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue at 9:00 a.m. for set up and remains closed until 7:00 p.m. Additional closures will occur on Chateau Avenue, O’Hear Avenue, Empire Avenue, and Colie Morse Way, according to the city.
East Montague Avenue between Park Place East and Jenkins Avenue will close at 11:30 a.m. and stay closed for the duration of the parade.
Move those vehicles! Cars left in the block party area overnight on Friday, March 8, will be towed, according to the city.

“All we’re going to do is reposition ourselves; we have about 6 bars that we operate out of here, we have some streets bars and stuff like that. So because we can’t cover everybody, because the tents could fly away, we’re going to reposition everybody inside, we’re going to try to make this area a little more friendly to guests when they come in,” said Taylor.
The official North Charleston St. Patrick’s Day parade has been canceled due to possible severe weather. However, organizers say the block party is still underway, even though some of the street vendors have canceled.
Some of the bars were also planning on having live music tomorrow, but places like the Irish Pub and Madra Rua have canceled that as well.
However, like most businesses in the area, they’re still stocking up and expecting a large turnout.
Right across the street, Dig in the Park plans to rearrange its layout to keep its live music on Saturday.
“We do have the double-decker bud light bar that we’re famous for here, and we’re excited to have them, but the DJ on the top, that’s not a comfortable spot for him,” said Taylor. “So, we’re going to bring him down because it’s DJ Natty Heavy.
